ROCKY'S STUDIO
Rocky's studio oozes character and offers a dry and dog-friendly environment, meaning we can shoot Creative Portraits all year round without worrying about the weather.
We have two dedicated shooting areas that allow us to create captivating and timeless images that would look splendid hanging on any wall.
The lovely wooden floor and old log burner, create comfortable surroundings for both you and your dog to completely relax. This area also gives us the chance to capture some slightly different, more homely type images.
It's all about relaxing, and the more relaxed you and your dog are, the more everyone will enjoy the session.
We have a tasty selection of treats for everyone in our Pick & Mix bar, but if your dog has an absolute favourite let us know before the session so we can make sure we have plenty to hand - or feel free to bring your own along.
Relaxed, however, doesn't mean you or your dog have to be on your best behaviour or be trained to an exceptional level of obedience.
Coming to a new place, with lots of new sniffs and smells is always exciting. Some dogs walk in and pose pose pose, and some like to have a bit of playtime, before, during and after the shoot. Please don't worry, we are more than used to all sorts of characters. It is usually our dogs that cause the most mayhem!
We have a lovely outsdide area. Rockys Studio has a split stable door and rustic steps that are a great place to capture you and your dog together if the weather is right.
Stone piers, gates ways and rural tracks create a feeling of being out in the countryside, and we can borrow the far-reaching views to capture truly unique pictures.
So at the end of a Studio session we can pop outside (if the weather is right) and capture some shots with natural light to create a more "outdoorsy" feeling.
A Rocky's Studio Session (with a few outdoor shots) typically lasts up to an hour.
And if you want to include an outdoor session as well, then it's going to be a good couple of hours.
We often find that we run over, but that's not a problem for us, getting the right shots takes time, and the right photos are what we want.
THE GREAT OUTDOORS
The great outdoors is probably the best studio around. Living and working on the edge of the Peak District we have some stunning locations to choose from.
Out on the moors to take advantage of the rugged stones and heather, along the Pennine Trail for a gentle walk, to the reservoir for some water fun - or, all rolled into one.
As with the shoots, sessions are up to 2 hours long which should be plenty of time to capture the right shots, and it isn't a problem if we run slightly over.
Most dogs are raring to go, but as always, we take some time to get to know each other and interact.
Once the shoot is finished, I will produce a gallery of up to 30 fully edited images for you to view.
The choice is yours, a visit back to The Ranch to view your gallery and talk through our fabulous range of bespoke products or an on-line gallery for you to peruse at your leisure.
Either way I am here to help you choose how best to display your favourites in your home.
